About Carl Alfino
Carl was born on February 23, 1956. He was raised on Herkimer St. in the East New York section Brooklyn, NY by the proud parents of Barbara & Chris Alfino.

He attended Public School 155 and in 1971 Carl Alfino moved with his family from Brooklyn to Richmond Hill, Queens, NY where he attended Richmond Hill High School.

After graduating high school, he attended Queensboro Community College and continued his education at the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy located in New York City.

Growing up in a family of musical talent. Carl was influenced by his father Chris, a singer, and his uncle, a well-known music instructor. As a young teen growing up on Herkimer St., he studied with his uncle and became impressed with the vocalist of the 40s, 50s, and 60s. The progressive development of Carl's singing ability fueled his passion to develop a unique style of his own; recreating popular songs with a fresh, new jazzy sound.

In 1981 Carl and his partner established a physical therapy practice in Richmond Hill, Queens.

Today Carl performs in restaurants and nightclubs along with other aspiring artist and in 2008, he released his first CD titled "Smoothing Things Out".
